Frequently asked questions
Are loneliness and being alone the same?
No. Aloneness can be resourcing. Loneliness is the pain of missing meaningful contact.
Why is it so empty after a move?
Familiar faces, language, and role disappeared. That is grief for a lost environment, not proof that something is wrong with you.
I am in a relationship and still lonely.
That happens when there is no emotional meeting. Then we work not only on finding people, but on the quality of contact.
Will I make the therapist my only friend?
We watch for that. Therapy is a place you leave toward live life, not a substitute for every relationship.
